Yummy chocolate face mask

This silky smooth mask will leave your skin glowing. Especially good before that special date or when you just need a little bit of TLC. Choose best quality dark (70%) chocolate. Dark chocolate is packed with antioxidants and vitamins A, B, D and E. Some say it contains even more antioxidants than green tea! So sneak a bite while making the mask! Let’s make the mask. In a double boiler, slowly melt 2-3 little pieces of dark chocolate. Once cooled a little, add 1tsp of lovely almond oil, or any other other oil you like. It will keep the mask smooth and silky, otherwise the mask will harden quickly. Smooth it over your clean face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Put your feet up, finish off that left over chocolate and read a chapter or two of your favorite book. Wash off with lukewarm water. Enjoy! Soothing banana and clay face mask

You all know I swear by clay every now and again. Every Saturday is a clay day and so far I haven’t come across anything better (just yet)! I usually stick to my favourite combination that involves double cream and honey, especially in winter, when the skin needs lots of TLC. As you also know I am from the Baltics, where winters are very harsh, much colder than here in the UK and so I was chatting to my friend the other day, who recently moved back home. She said that it was so cold and windy one morning that her cheeks gone frozen! I was back home over Christmas, and I do remember how it feels! Next day the report came in from the frozen land, that she used banana face mask to soothe her irritated skin and it has been hugely helpful.  Rumour has it that banana peel is a great remedy for irritated, itchy and tired skin.
