Natural avocado and honey face mask

I love mornings like this, when I have time to make a nice cup of coffee, do some research, try new and natural beauty treats and blog away!

Avocados are both yummy and healthy! A great source of vitamins B, K and E. It’s important for your body to get a sufficient amount of vitamin B, it helps your metabolism work better which leads to a healthier skin tone. Avocados also contain monosaturated fat that is necessary for our health. They are high in fibre. Insoluble fibre does a great job in cleaning out the bowel. Avocado is great for weight control, because it turns into a gel that sits in your stomach for some time when it comes in contact with water, so you feel full for longer.

I love face masks that are edible! Those are most natural and good for our skin. Avocados help fight skin redness, dryness, it also helps to treat eczema due to its high concentration of natural oils.

Smooth Rock (8)

3 tsp ripe Avocado

1/2 tsp honey

That’s all you need to make this absolutely lush face mask! Make sure your avocado is perfectly ripe so you can mush it easily. Combine the ingredients well with the back of your spoon. You can blend the mix to make it even smoother, but I don’t bother, too much washing up!

Apply the mask to your clean skin. I like to use a gentle face scrub before applying face masks so that the fresh layer of my skin gets the most out of such natural and incredibly moisturising masks. Sit back and relax for 15-20 minutes. Rinse the mask off with tepid water and say hello to your glowing skin!

You can also add a dollop of cream to your mask for a creamier consistency. For dry skin, crack in one egg yolk and mix well. For oily skin add egg whites!

Don’t waste the left overs! Use the left over mask for your hair! It works wonders and makes your hair soft and nourished.

I love this mask!! I’ve oily skin, how many times a week should I do this mask?

    • I’d say once a week is more than enough 🙂 Try mixing avocado with yogurt for oily skin 🙂
