When outside is so dreary, grim and cold and doesn’t really feel like it’s the end of July, there is always a way to shift the clouds away and let a ray of sunshine into your house, or at least in the bathroom!
Natural oils of the summer fruit are the best for regenerating skin cells, pampering, rejuvenating and nourishing wind-beaten or sun-burnt skin. The scent and colours will lift your mood even on the rainiest day!
Treat your face skin with papaya face mask. This fruit will protect your skin from ageing and wrinkles. It’s rich in vitamin C, thus is particularly useful to not only apply the fruit flesh on to your skin, but also eat it. Especially effective for dried out skin.
From half a papaya I made a mask which I used a few times already and also shared some of it with my friend (I think she enjoyed it as she kept the mask on for about 30 minutes). If you don’t use the whole mask in one go, be sure to store it in the refrigerator to keep it cool and fresh.
Papaya Face Mask
flesh of 1/2 ripe papaya
1 tbs of honey
1 tbs of sour cream
Halve the papaya and remove the seeds. Scoop out the fruit flesh and mix it well with sour cream and honey. Apply the mask on clean skin, keep it on for about 15-20 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water. Enjoy!
